Product context

What this product is, commercially.

Crude oil and condensate opportunities are assessed individually. Origin and assay characteristics determine which refineries and processing configurations can take the barrel, while transport access frequently determines whether the movement is possible at all. In inland markets the binding constraint is rarely the price idea; it is the route, the equipment and the acceptance capability of the receiving facility.

What matters commercially

The variables that decide whether the movement works.

These are the questions the desk works through before proposing a structure. Where an answer is not yet known, we establish it rather than assume it.
  1. 01

    Origin and assay

Density, sulphur content and the wider assay govern which processing configurations can accept the barrel and what value it carries at destination.

  2. 02

    Transport access

Pipeline entry, rail loading capability and tank-car availability define the practical route long before commercial terms are agreed.

  3. 03

    Quantity and parcel structure

Inland movements are built from railcar sets rather than cargoes. Parcel size has to match loading capability and discharge capacity at both ends.

  4. 04

    Quality and quantity determination

The inspection point, testing method and basis of quantity determination are agreed before loading, not reconstructed afterwards.

Trading & execution

Our role on Crude & Condensate

Barrelsway acts as the commercial principal in the transaction, coordinating supply, structure and physical movement as one process rather than as separate steps handed between parties.

  1. 01

Assessment of origin, assay and destination suitability.

  2. 02

Review of loading capability, tank-car type and route availability.

  3. 03

Structuring of delivery basis, pricing basis, inspection and payment terms.

  4. 04

Coordination of loading, movement, border interfaces and discharge.

Availability, origin, specification, volume and delivery terms require confirmation in every case. Nothing on this page constitutes an offer or a confirmation of availability.

01Product

Product, enquiry type, company and your contact details are required. Everything else is optional and simply sharpens the answer you get back.

Enquiry type

If the grade is known, include the crude or condensate name and its key quality parameters.

Submitting an enquiry does not create an offer or a binding commitment. All transactions remain subject to availability, specification review, counterparty approval, compliance review, applicable law and final contractual agreement.

Other requirements

Working on more than one product?

The trading desk handles crude, refined products, LPG, base oils, bitumen and selected petrochemical feedstocks. Send the full requirement and we will assess it together.
